CHXLST Terms of Use

These terms explain the rules for using CHXLST, an iPhone app made by Raven Media LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using CHXLST, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Apple's standard EULA

Your use of CHXLST is covered by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"). You can read it at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.

These terms add to the Apple EULA. If the two ever conflict, the Apple EULA wins.

2. Your license to use the app

We give you a personal, non exclusive, non transferable license to use CHXLST on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the Apple EULA and the App Store rules.

Please do not:

  • Copy, sell, rent, or redistribute the app or its content
  • Reverse engineer or try to extract the app's source code or data, except where the law allows it
  • Use the app for anything illegal

We own the app, its design, its text, and its camera reference data. This license does not give you ownership of any of it.

3. In app purchase

CHXLST is free to download. You can buy "CHXLST Unlock," a one time, non consumable in app purchase that unlocks extra features.

  • Apple processes the purchase. Apple's terms and payment rules apply.
  • We never see or store your payment details.
  • Your unlock is tied to your Apple ID. If you get a new iPhone or reinstall the app, tap Restore Purchases to get it back at no extra cost.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

4. Camera information is for reference only

CHXLST includes camera settings, ISO values, and other technical details. We work to keep this information useful, but:

  • It is reference information only.
  • It may be incomplete or inaccurate.
  • It can change when a manufacturer releases new firmware.

Always check important settings with your camera manufacturer's official manuals or support. You are responsible for how you set up your gear and your shoot.

5. Your lists and data

Your gear lists, checklist ticks, and added cameras are stored only on your iPhone. We do not have a copy. If you delete the app or lose your device, that data may be lost. See our Privacy Policy for more.

6. Trademarks and no affiliation

CHXLST is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Sony, Canon, or any other camera brand.

Camera names, brand names, and logos are trademarks of their owners. We use them only to identify the gear the app refers to.

7. No warranty

CHXLST is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties of any kind. That includes promises that the app will be error free, always available, or that its information is accurate or complete.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Raven Media LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. This includes lost footage, missed shots, damaged gear, lost data, or lost income from using or relying on the app.

If we are found liable for anything, our total liability will not be more than the amount you paid for the app and the CHXLST Unlock purchase.

Some places do not allow these limits. If that applies to you, some of these limits may not apply.

9. About Apple

These terms are between you and Raven Media LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no duty to provide support or maintenance for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version and update the effective date above. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the updated terms.
