CHXLST Privacy Policy

CHXLST is an iPhone app made by Raven Media LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). It gives filmmakers and photographers a camera settings reference and a shoot day gear checklist. One less thing to remember.

This policy explains what happens to your information when you use CHXLST. The short answer: we do not collect it.

The short version

  • There is no account and no sign in.
  • There are no analytics, no ads, and no tracking.
  • The app has no third party SDKs.
  • Your data stays on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to us.

What the app stores on your iPhone

To work, CHXLST saves a few things on your device:

  • Your gear lists
  • Your checklist ticks
  • Cameras you add
  • Whether you have finished the welcome screens (onboarding)

This data is stored only on your iPhone, using Apple's built in storage (SwiftData and UserDefaults). It is never sent to us or to anyone else. We cannot see it.

If you delete the app, this data is deleted from your iPhone too.

If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, your backup may include this app data. Apple handles those backups under Apple's own privacy policy. We never have access to them.

What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data or usage data from the app. This matches the "Data Not Collected" label on our App Store page.

Bundled content

The camera reference data and the fonts used in CHXLST are built into the app. The app does not download them from the internet, so loading them does not share anything about you.

Purchases

CHXLST is free to download. You can buy a one time upgrade called "CHXLST Unlock" inside the app.

Apple handles the whole purchase through its App Store and StoreKit. We never see your name, your payment details, or your Apple ID. Apple only tells the app whether you own the unlock, so the app can turn on the extra features. That check happens on your device.

If you email us

If you contact support by email, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share your email.

You can ask us to delete your emails with us at any time.

Children

CHXLST is not directed to children under 13. The app does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version and update the effective date above. Because the app does not collect data, any change would not affect data we hold about you, since we hold none.
